What happens, and what doesn't, when you build an order in one of these calculators.
Building a Chipotle bowl or sizing up a Starbucks drink on this site does not send anything to a server. Here is exactly what that means and where the few exceptions are.
Each calculator on this site loads a page with a small dataset already built into it, one entry per menu item, protein, size or topping. When you pick an option or check a box, a script on that page reads the numbers already sitting in the file and adds them up. Nothing you select gets typed into a form, saved to a database, or transmitted anywhere. Close the tab and the bowl you built is gone with it.
This site runs Google Analytics to see which calculators get used and Google AdSense to show ads, and both can set cookies once you accept them. A banner on first visit lets you accept or decline; declining keeps the analytics and ad cookies off. Google's own policies govern what those two services do with anything they collect, separate from this page.
There is no account system, no saved order history, and no location tracking tied to a person. The only place a name or email address gets entered is the contact form, and that information is used solely to answer whatever was sent, not added to a marketing list.
